I want to encourage all small game hunters to attend the first Alabama Conservation Advisory Board meeting on 1 March 2014.
This is the first time in my memory that the first meeting of the year in Montgomery, Alabama, a central location, is to be held when the small game hunters aren’t hunting on our precious few Saturdays.
The deer hunters will be out in force wanting the season extended into February arguing they can’t kill a big buck unless they can shoot it over bait or during the rut that varies according to the part of the state.
Maybe not in my lifetime, but surely among some of the younger hunters, the rut will continue shifting until it happens in March
We stand together and offer a show of numbers or or there will only be deer and turkey hunting in Alabama
